DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – It was Monday afternoon on Dec. 27.  A driver leads police on chase through Dallas County.  It began when Mesquite Police attempted to pull over a suspect for a traffic violation.  The police pursued the vehicle and attempted to get the car to pull over.  When the person driving refused to pull over the chase was on.  The chase continued through the street on to I-30 and U.S. Highway 75 in Dallas with multiple police car units in pursuit.

At one point during the chase, the driver went the wrong way.  The driver ended up on service roads and residential streets and was going the opposite direction of normal traffic. Finally, the driver had reached a dead end.  There was nowhere else to go.  At 5:45 p.m. the driver leads police on chase via foot.  He had decided to run.  The police caught him in seconds. He was firmly in police custody and the chase was over.  The entirety of the chase lasted 40 minutes.  The span of the chase included on and off both highways and residential streets.  The driver was arrested. It’s unclear the entirety of the charges.
