An “Indemnitor” is a “co-signer” and is responsible for signing a bail agreement/contract.   Often a co-signer will need to qualify for the bond on behalf of the “defendant” or the person in jail custody.  If a person chooses to co-sign on behalf of the defendant, they will automatically become legally and financially responsible for making sure that the defendant shows up to all of their court appearances.   The defendant must fulfill all of their court mandated obligations.
Once a co-signer signs the bail agreement they cannot be removed from a bail bond. When Posting Bail Bonds in McKinney, TX, co-signers now become legally obligated to pay the bond in full if the defendant does not appear in court.
